This policy covers the LXD Evidence Assistant application hosted at this site, operated by Dr. Brenda Bannan / AI4LD, a brand of Lady B Innovation, LLC. It supplements the AI4LD Privacy Policy, which covers ai4ld.com and purchases. The short version: you don’t need an account to use the free trial, we don’t sell your information, and your research sessions stay private unless you choose to make one public.
No account required
You can run the free trial session without registering, signing in, or providing your name or email. Full access is unlocked with a purchase or access code, not a login account.
What happens to what you enter
The learning goal, keywords, and context you enter are sent to a third-party AI platform (Anthropic’s Claude) to run the research synthesis and design generation, and to public academic search APIs (OpenAlex, CrossRef, ERIC, Semantic Scholar, and arXiv — see About) to find relevant papers. Each is handled under that platform’s own privacy terms. Please treat every input as if it may leave your machine: do not enter personally identifiable information (PII), confidential employee data, or proprietary company information. Use hypothetical, anonymized, or publicly shareable examples. You are responsible for ensuring your inputs comply with your organization’s data policies.
Your session data
Your inputs, and the papers, synthesis, and design artifacts generated from them, are stored in our database so you can return to view or resume a session. A private, httpOnly cookie in your browser (not tied to your name, email, or an account) controls which sessions you can view or run — it is the only thing that distinguishes your sessions from anyone else’s. If you check “Make session public,” your research topic and results become visible to other visitors in the app’s opt-in public feed; leave it unchecked (the default) to keep a session private to your browser.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Neon) record standard technical logs — such as IP address, browser type, and pages or requests made — to run and secure the service, as most websites do. We use these only for operating, securing, and troubleshooting the tool.
